Webservice returns a Parser Error about Global.asax.cs

Posted: 2011-09-27 in .Net

Simple: Check your primary project’s outbuild build folder, for debug it should be bin\ not bin\debug\

Basically whats happening is you are referencing either a) an old built file that references new code or b)the file doesn’t exist compared to where its  trying to start the web page.
This happens especially if you have updated your solution from 1.x to 2.x or newer.

Worse case delete your entire output folder and rebuild, check the files created compared to where the project is trying to look. This should confirm the above.
